Fr. William Heric, born on Queen Anne Hill as the oldest of seven children, grew up in Shoreline and was formed at St. Luke Parish and School. He entered the seminary in 1969 and was ordained in 1981 by Archbishop Raymond G. Hunthausen. Fr. Heric has served in various ministries, including parish work, hospital, and school chaplaincy. Deeply influenced by Vatican II, he identifies as a Catholic rather than liberal or conservative. He enjoys walking, reading, and spectator sports (especially the Seattle Mariners and UW Huskies), and is a regular practitioner of centering prayer. Fr. Bill has served at St. Bridget’s Parish for the past five years and is looking forward to serving the family of parishes in NE Seattle, including OLL, Assumption, St. Catherine, and Our Lady of the Lake Parishes.
