This video is about the urban area of San Sebastian de Yali; you can see the church and some of the streets in the center of the town. As you can see, many people come and go from the town for commercial activities. The background music you can hear is our typical music from the northern part of Nicaragua, called Mazurca. There is a story behind this music; some people say its primary roots are in our German heritage north of Nicaragua.
In the pictures, you can see the church from inside and out—it is now ready for Lent. There are pictures of Saint Joseph and His festivities on March 19th. Many people from Yali are devoted to Saint Joseph as the father and protector of the Catholic Church.
