Update from Yali

Also, we distributed food packages to people in need in San Sebastian de Yali, we know some people struggle every day to get their food to the table and meet basic needs. We always try to get to elderly people who we know are at risk and because of the social and political conditions in the country, food and basic needs are hard to meet.

Along with these, we continue to ask for your prayers as just last week 7 more priests from Nicaragua were forced to be exiled leaving their parishes without a pastor. Pray for the Catholic Church in Nicaragua. Here is the article. https://www.vaticannews.va/en/church/news/2024-08/nicaragua-exiles-seven-priests-to-rome.html

As some of you know I will be in Seattle on Monday and leave on Thursday, would like to meet with you. I know my time there is very short, but would like to get together with you all who have helped me and my family adjust to our new lives. Let me know if it is possible to meet.

Thank you all for your continued support to the people in Yali, we pray to God that we continue to do this work for more time.

Thank you! Keyla Rivera
